The Director

Jose E. Gonzalez, M.M.Q., is the director and founder of the Healing Qi Institute.

Jose received his Master of Medical Qigong through the International Institute of Medical Qigong. He studied and personally trained with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, DMQ, (China), the West's leading authority on Medical Qigong and the executive director of the International Institute of Medical Qigong in Pacific Grove, California.

Jose E. Gonzalez has been certified by Dr. Johnson to teach the Master of Medical Qigong certification program offered by the International Institute of Medical Qigong in Los Angeles.

In 2004, Jose E. Gonzalez also received advanced training (also taught by Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson) in Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy and Chinese Clinical Oncology. This course entailed Medical Qigong therapeutic modalities for the treatment of various types of cancer, as well as primary Medical Qigong prescription exercises and meditations used in China for the treatment of cancer and the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. This advanced training program was jointly offered by the Institute of Regenerative Medicine (Houston, Texas) and the International Institute of Medical Qigong.

Jose E. Gonzalez has also trained in Wisdom Healing Qigong, Levels I and II with Master Mingtong Gu, a direct disciple of Grandmaster Pang Ming. He is also a Professional member of the National Qigong Association (NQA).

As the founder and director of the Gnostic Center of Los Angeles, Jose E. Gonzalez has also taught meditation for more than 28 years at the Gnostic Center. He has taught Gnostic seminars in Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand and Tokyo and also led meditation retreats in Kyoto, Japan. As the senior instructor at the Gnostic Center he has practiced and also taught meditation to thousands of students from varying backgrounds. He combines his teaching expertise with his passion for Medical Qigong to skilfully guide both laypersons and health professionals alike, to an insightful and hands-on learning experience in every Qigong class and seminar he teaches.
